The United States and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) announced the continuation of support provided to Ukraine, which has been under Russian military invasion for 5 days.
Regional spokesman for the US State Department, Samuel Warburg, said that the states are ready to provide more support to the Ukrainian people in the face of the Russian operation.
This coincides with the European Union's announcement of financing the purchase and delivery of weapons to Ukraine, enabling it to confront the Russian army.
Warberg added, according to “Sky News,” that the United States is working to continue supporting the Ukrainian people in the face of the development of Russian attacks, including by providing more security, economic and humanitarian assistance.
The US diplomat explained that his country has provided "new lethal defense military aid" to Ukraine worth 350 million dollars, adding: "This brings the total security assistance that the United States has committed to Ukraine since last year to more than one billion dollars."
"We are ready to provide more support to Kiev," the spokesman added.
