Russia announced that in response and reciprocity it decided to ban flights from 36 countries.

She explained that the skies were closed to Germany, France, Italy, Spain and 23 other countries.

This comes in response to the decision of most European countries to close their airspace to Russian aviation, after President Putin's decision to start a large-scale military operation on Ukrainian soil.

At the same time, a scheduled visit of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov to Geneva was cancelled.

The Ukrainian negotiating delegation revealed that it demanded Russia to withdraw from all its territories, including Crimea and Donbass.

The French Finance Minister confirmed that financial sanctions against Russia, especially the financial sector, banks and banking transactions, have been intensified.

Earlier, the Russian airline, Aeroflot, announced the suspension of all its flights to Europe, in response to the European Union’s decision to close the airspace of the Union countries to the transit of Russian aircraft.
